Herb Johnson III

Q: How did you start dancing?
A: Someone told me they would beat me in a battle and that I was whack? So I proved them wrong.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of The Cowles Center?
A: My favorite memory is the Groundbreaker Battle. One year a friend and I were excited to attend and we showed up trying to sign up. The person at the front desk informed us that the event happened last week. Funny day it was.

Q: What show are you excited to see at The Cowles Center this season?
A: Curio Dance & Twin Cities Tap Festival

Jason (J-Sun) Noer

Q: How did you start dancing?
A: I wanted to be a martial artist and a Jedi - breaking seemed like a good compromise. I was also very shy and dancing was a way to be social without talking too much.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of The Cowles Center?
A: One of my favorite memories is being able to have legends of Hip Hop culture Aby and Easy Roc at the Groundbreaker Battles. Another is Mixtape Side A [from the 2016-17 Season] - the entire show was epic and felt like family.

Q: What show are you excited to see at The Cowles Center this season?
A: I'm excited to see the Twin Cities Tap Festival.

'Mixtape Side B' runs May 18-20. For tickets and more information, click here.
