Scott Stafford is a native of Detroit, MI, earning his BA from Michigan State University. He enjoys life as a performer, teaching artist, and dancing person – currently sweating, loving, and creating in Minneapolis, MN. His choreography and collaborative efforts have been presented at The Walker Art Center, The Southern Theater, Bryant Lake Bowl Theater, The Red Eye Theater, and Fresh Oysters Performance Research. He's had the pleasure of performing work by Dolo McComb, Kristy Faulkner, Vanessa Voskuil, Stuart Pimsler, Suzanne Costello, and Sherrie Barr, among others.

Much of his movement research practice is conducted on dance floors across the world – transforming collective oneness, via the rhythm, into disco poetry. He views expression as vital to every individual – accessible to everybody, and necessary to every lifestyle. His work is founded in our infinite capacity of expressive range – made manifest in forms of softness, hardness, celebration, transcendence, radical oops-ing, and transcending again.
