Zenon celebrates its 35th Anniversary with world premieres by emerging New York choreographers Michelle Boulé and Alex Springer + Xan Burley, and popular Minnesota choreographer Penelope Freeh. Zenon will also present classic, well-loved pieces from the company’s repertoire, including:

Ezekiel’s Wheel by Danny Buraczeski is based on the iconic writing of James Baldwin illuminating the American Civil Rights Movement and struggle.

The company will also reprise Blessing of the Earth by Minnesota choreographer Wynn Fricke. This audience favorite is a passionate & fierce homage to Mother Earth. Tamara Ober is featured in this piece and is being honored for 15 years of outstanding dance. Tamara is transitioning from full time Zenon dancing to other creative pursuits in choreography and videography.

Storm by Daniel Charon is a prime example of American modern dance at its finest. This sweeping and exhilarating work propels its six dancers to their physical limits supported by a powerful musical score.

Hotel Tango by Minnesota choreographer Mariusz Olszewski is an inspired and sizzling work for two tango couples. Passion abounds.
