Be immersed in an array of riveting choreographic adventures during Minnesota Dance Theatre’s Spring Season. Illuminating the versatility of MDT’s classical and contemporary aesthetic, the program features the “unparalleled originality” of York choreographer Adam Barruch in a world premiere commission inspired by quantum physics. Set to original music by New York-based composer Roarke Menzies, Barruch’s work is “bold yet thoughtful, clear yet nuanced and subtle.” New work will also be premiered by MDT Artistic Director Lise Houlton.

The mission of Minnesota Dance Theatre is to present masterful and inspiring dance through performance and education.

Minnesota Dance Theatre (MDT) was founded in 1962 by Loyce Houlton, one of the first American women to gain international recognition as a choreographer, teacher and producer.

In doing this, she embarked on an artistic journey that would change the Twin Cities’ artistic landscape and have a lasting impact on the world of dance. National recognition for its innovative performances helped established MDT as a flagship dance company in Minnesota.
