Classic meets contemporary in Collide’s reimagined story of star-crossed lovers, filled to the brim with all of the passion and violence of young love. This full-length narrative production, featuring twelve professional dancers, five live musicians, and two vocalists, is told without dialogue and set to a lively contemporary score of popular musical hits from artists such as Nirvana, The White Stripes, Lady Gaga, and more.

Vocalist Katie Gearty (The Dakota Jazz Club) headlines the live musicians featuring members of the Minnesota Orchestra on a violin string quartet, drums, and bass. Regina Peluso (Guthrie’s A Christmas Carol 2018 & 2019), creator and choreographer, leads the team with assistant choreographer Heather Brockman (Ballet of the Dolls), tap choreography by Kaleena Miller (Kaleena Miller Dance, and Twin Cities Tap Festival), with music arrangements by Chuck Krenner (Minnesota Opera) and music direction by Shannon Van Der Reck (The History Theatre).
