Career Opportunities


Development Manager

The Development Manager is responsible for supporting the work of the Advancement team with a particular focus on the Annual Fund, fundraising strategies for events, and oversight of the donor database. This position will also serve as a liaison and resource for the Cowles Council. As a member of the Advancement team, this position will help to implement and support the planning and execution of an annual fundraising plan that results in a growth of the number of donors, deepening of relationship with donors, and identification of prospects for future development. Box Office Associate

Box Office Associates work as a representative of The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts by providing ticket sales for Cowles patrons in person and over the phone. They will work with fellow staff to see that the box office is working efficiently and effectively. This position serves as an ambassador for The Cowles Center and our performing companies by sharing information about productions, answering questions, and directing additional inquiries or concerns to the appropriate person or department within the organization.



Front of House Associate

Front of House Associates work as a representative of The Cowles Center for Dance & the Performing Arts by creating a welcoming environment for patrons as they visit. They will get to know the spaces and policies well so as to provide excellent customer service. They will manage a team of volunteer ushers and enable volunteers to do their job well. This position serves as an ambassador for The Cowles Center and our performing companies by sharing information about productions, answering questions, and directing additional inquiries or concerns to the appropriate person or department within the organization.

Volunteer

We rely on more than 150 volunteers each year to maintain the artistry and mission of The Cowles Center. As a Cowles Center volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side our Box Office/Front of House staff to ensure that patrons are able to enjoy our world-class dance venue.
