“Supple as snakes and brave beyond belief!”
Shapiro & Smith Dance has a reputation for performing tales of beauty and biting wit that run the gamut from searingly provocative to absurdly hilarious. Dancing with breathtaking physicality and emotional depth they have earned an international reputation for virtuosity, substance and pure abandonment.
Join Shapiro & Smith Dance as they celebrate their 30th Anniversary with the premiere of A Naked Man's Shirt, a hilarious negotiation between three men and a shirt. The company will also celebrate Women of Valor, women who are on the front lines of service in the Twin Cities' community, with an all-female performance of the physically-exhilarating Bolero. The program will feature other favorites from the last 30 years, including Burning Air - based on The Great Hinckley Fire of 1894 - and the lush and passionate Moonlight.
