Celebrating local music icon Bob Dylan, Minnesota Dance Theatre presents the Midwest premiere of “Moonshine” by world-renowned British choreographer Christopher Bruce. Set to early folk songs from Dylan’s Bootleg Series, the provocative piece explores the emotional, sometimes haunting, stories of four traveling performers.
Also highlighting MDT’s classical and contemporary aesthetic, the program will feature the revival of the enigmatic and beautiful “Mythical Hunters” by legendary chorographer Glen Tetley. A historic staple in MDT’s repertory, the company has shared the acclaimed work, exploring the cycle of life, with audiences from Minnesota to Spoleto, Italy.
The company will also perform Lise Houlton's playful and inventive "Point of Departure," set to Franz Joseph Haydn's "Farewell" Symphony.
With its compelling mix of repertory, MDT’s 54th Spring Season will captivate and inspire.
