BLM received a 2014 Sage Award for Outstanding Ensemble. Come see why!
Black Label Movement is a Twin Cities based dance theater company creating wildly physical work that embraces risk and pushes physical and artistic boundaries.
This program features the world premiere of BLM Artistic Director Carl Flink's Alleged Dances, commissioned and performed by the nationally recognized musicians of Minneapolis' Bakken Trio consortium to enhance and illuminate John's Book of Alleged Dances, an electrified quartet by the famous musical innovator John Adams. Also premiering will be An Unkindness of Ravens, Flink's edgy commission from the 2014 American Dance Festival.
BLM offers a student matinee at 10:30 am on Friday, March 6. Interested educators and home school families should contact the Cowles education staff for more information if interested.
